In two days, Bintang Timur Surabaya (BTS) FC of Indonesia and Hongyan Thakam FC of Thailand will play one other in the AFF Futsal Cup 2022 final at Terminal 21 in Korat.
In the first semifinal, the Indonesian champion Hongyen Thakam defeated the Vietnamese champion Sahako FC, 2-1, while in the second semifinal, Selangor MAC defeated both Selangor and Hongyen Thakam, 6-2.
Sunny Rizki Suhendra's conversion of Alfajri Zikri's attempt in the sixth minute gave BTS the advantage they needed to go up 2-0 after Edison Coelho added the second goal a minute later.
Sahako had hoped to recover, just like they did when they defeated Selangor MAC to win the group, but they quickly realized that BTS was a little more seasoned and composed.

In the 27th minute, Duong Ngoc Linh's rocket past goalkeeper Muhammad Nazil Purnama had paid off and pushed BTS closer.
They immediately had multiple opportunities to stop BTS from becoming the first group to ever reach the final, but they were unable to do so.
To go to the final, Hongyen Thakam comfortably defeated Selangor MAC 6-2.
The team's captain, Katawut Phoopan, scored after five minutes to give them the lead. Syed Aizad Daniel Syed Nasir equalized the scoring ten minutes later with a left-footed shot.
Wilson Neto's skillfully taken free kick in the 13th minute gave Hongyen a 2-1 lead as they entered the dressing room.
Selangor MAC scored their second goal of the match in the game's 21st minute of action, but they were unable to prevent Hongyen from outplaying them and prevailing.
As the Thai squad prepared to compete in their maiden season final, Supot Makrak gave Hongyen the lead in the 21st minute. Wittaya Duangpoo, Amarin Akapan, and Wendel Mendes all scored goals for Hongyen.
